Music is for me the most important thing. It makes my day, you can see from the music i listen which mood i am in. I can listen to one specific number the whole day. And so i have got this idea for a challenge. These are songs that i have heard the first in my favorite show, SN. but when i listen them again and again, i hear the lyrics and they are meaning a lot to me.
Can't find my way home
It's a beautiful song from Steve Winwood and Traffic and it's the song you now here on my blog. But it also presents the way i am feeling right now. Lost in a world i didn't fit in. Looking at my childeren ( who have great problems being autistic) who i cant understand. Makes me feel there is no real home.
With that in my mind i created this grunge page. Background is made with alcoholink and gesso, in a lot of layers. then put some drops of red and black alcoholink on the page and blow it away, used some more gesso in the still wetalcoholink, so you must work quick. Draw with crayons the trees and make them look scary. Took a real picture of my home. Change the colors, or house is yellow! and make the corners more foggy. Put some tape on it and some stamps from Zettiology, Viva las Vegas, Tim Holz. In the upper right corner there is a 12. Which is my home number.
SHE BRINGS ME LOVE
Very great song by Bad Company, and this is one of the songs that i can hear whole day. Its all about the love for me, to my daughter Carlijn. Ofcourse she is the girl in the picture, and its with her typical autistic look, it's what we called the LIJNE LOOK.
The background is made with peerless watercolors, and a lot of gesso. I use that a lot! Created two hearts as a watermark in the background. Change the color of the photo in to more pink, and printed it on pink Bazzil paper, so it's get a canvas look. Put some lace to it what i also altered pink. Print the lyrics I know that's all that i need in pink on a sheet. Draw the letters LOVE by hand and cut them out. Make the edge with acrylic paint and scribbles. made with the word love and the text on sheet, a X ,and everybody knows were that is standing for.

Ik ben zo trots om deze week gasthost te zijn van MMM met het thema: Meaningful MUSIC.Kies een nummer en maak daar een werkstuk mee. Gebruik een stuk uit de tekst of de titel, wat je wilt. Maar laat ons wel weten welk nummer en van wie het is, wat je gebruikt hebt. Ik kan niet wachten om al jullie prachtige werkstukken te zien.
Muziek is voor mij het belangrijkste wat er is. Ik kan niet zonder muziek en muziek bepaalt mijn stemming. Aan de muziek die ik beluister kun je merken in wat voor een stemming ik ben. Ik kan ook echt dag in dag uit naar hetzelfde liedje luisteren. Daardoor ben ik ook op het idee van deze uitdaging gekomen. De onderstaande nummers komen allebei uit mijn favoriete serie die over het maken van keuzes gaat en het kiezen voor je eigen leven of lotsbestemming. Supernatural. Maar dat is niet de reden dat ik ze zo gaaf vind, nadat ik ze tig keer had gehoord ben ik gevallen voor de tekst in combinatie met de melodie en kreeg ik het beeld van deze pagina's erbij.

Een nummer van Steve Winwood en Traffic en dit nummer draait nu als openingsnummer op mijn blog. Deze grungy pagina draait om hoe ik me vaak voel, verloren in een wereld met zwaar autistische kinderen die ik niet begrijp en die mij ook niet begrijpen. Iedere dag leven in een chaos. Dan is thuis vaak ver te zoeken.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met rode en zwarte alcoholinkt en heel veel gesso. Daarna druppels rode en zwarte alcoholinkt erop laten vallen en weggeblazen met een rietje. Dan terwijl de inkt nog nat is gesso aangebracht en uitgewreven. Je moet hierbij wel snel werken. Met krijt de bomen getekend. Wat tape aangebracht. De foto in het huis is een foto van mijn huis, alleen omgezet in zwart wit, mijn huis is geel en de randen vervaagd. Waardoor ik het nog meer spooky wilde maken. Stempels zijn van Tim Holz, Zettiology en Viva las vegas. In de rechter boven hoek zie je het getal 12 wat mijn huisnummer is.
She brings me Love
Een nummer van Bad Company en ik vind dit een vreselijk mooi nummer, ik zie dan altijd Carlijn voor mij. Het is een nummer wat ik de hele dag achter elkaar kan luisteren en geeft mijn liefde voor haar weer. tuurlijk is zij het meisje op de foto met wat wij thuis noemen haar typische Lijne mijn Look.
De achtergrond is gemaakt met peerless watercolors en heel veel gesso. Dit is een aantal lagen opgebouwd en toen twee harten als een soort watermerk erin gemaakt. De foto van Carlijn is van kleur veranderd, meer roze en geprint op roze bazzil papier, wat zorgt voor een canvas look. De randen zijn versierd met acrylicpaint en scribbels. Het lint is oud gemaakt met acrylicpaint. De tekst is geprint op sheet. en de letters LOVE zijn met de hand getekend en uitgeknipt. Heb met de letters Love and de tekst op de sheet een kruis gemaakt, en de betekenis daarvan zal duidelijk zijn.
Omdat het zo mijn thema is ben ik met nog twee art journal pages bezig, die volgen snel.
