MMM: Maps Vancouver

This week is the theme by mixed media monday: MAPS.  You know by now that i am a huge fan of Supernatural which is filmed in Vancouver. What you dont know is that i am alos a  fan of the Olympic Games, and those are in Vancouver 2010. So i combined those two in this challenge.

I took a puzzle piece and covered it with the map of Vancouver. Turn every color in to sepia. Made the background with the peelingpaint technique. Took a picture from the internet of Buntzen lake, which is used in the episode Dead in the Water and printed it on sheet. The picture is over the whole piece. Stamp letters on paper (stamps are Collage from SU) and colored it with adirondack ink. Took two mascottes from the games and give it some glossy accents. Put brown acrylic paint on every edge.

Deze week is het thema bij Mixed media monday: PLATTEGROND. Jullie weten inmiddels vast wel dat ik echt een giga fan ben van Supernatural, en dat wordt gefilmd in Vancouver. Wat jullie nog niet weten is dat ik ook een grote fan ben van de spelen en die zijn in 2010 in Vancouver. Ik heb deze twee dingen gecombineerd en er dit mee gemaakt.

Een puzzel stuk en bedekt met een plattegrond van Vancouver. Iedere kleur is steeds veranderd naar Sepia. Daarna de achtergrond bewerkt met de peelingpaint techniek. Toen een foto van het Buntzen meer  van internet gehaald. ( dit meer is gebruikt in de aflevering Dead in the water) en die is geprint op sheet en daarmee is het hele stuk bedekt. Daarna Vancouver gestempeld, stempels SU collage, en bewerkt met Adirondack inkt. Verder wat glossy accents aangebracht en alle randjes bewerkt met Acrylverf.

Vancouver is such a beautiful city, we got to visit last August and did not want to leave :)
